Een visueel beeld van de veranderingen op aarde: Wetenschap en Aarde
Over the past decade, the number of people on Earth shot up by more than 13 percent, to nearly 6.8 billion people. To make room for all the hungry, breeding, CO2-emitting bodies on our small planet, we’ve ravaged Earth’s surface with staggering feats of deforestation, irrigation and urbanization, according to Wired.com.

NASA satellites have captured it all and Wired.com gives a few videos, compiled from images posted on NASA’s Earth Observatory, of some of the most impressive conquests of man over environment.

"Verplichte vaccinatie in Frankrijk op komst"
The French government will spend nearly a billion euros on a mandatory flu vaccination this autumn, a French website reported on May 30.

“According to our information, the State will place an order for 100 million units of influenza vaccine from three laboratories (GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi and Novartis),” according to Infowars.

Vaccinaties Engeland
Contrary to assurances given by the UK Government to leading politicians, fears earlier this year that the Government is moving to make the vaccination schedule compulsory for British citizens [including children] without reference to Parliament, and without public debate seem to be being borne out.

In de ritse krant The Daily Mail stond afgelopen week een artikel waarom jongens ook ingeent dienen te worden tegen HPV: “Why boys need a jab for cervical cancer: Only then will girls be totally protected, say experts.”

Daniel Martin reports: “Boys should be vaccinated against the sexual infection which causes cervical cancer because so few girls have had the jab that protects against it, say campaigners. Should Obama Control the Internet?

Should President Obama have the power to shut down domestic Internet traffic during a state of emergency?

Senators John Rockefeller (D-W. Va.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) think so. On Wednesday they introduced a bill to establish the Office of the National Cybersecurity Advisor—an arm of the executive branch that would have vast power to monitor and control Internet traffic to protect against threats to critical cyber infrastructure. That broad power is rattling some civil libertarians.
